Catching Up
Good Morning! The past few weeks of life have been quite good. I was able to go to Iowa and spend Thanksgiving with my family. I took two days off of work and did much while I was there. I went shopping in Sioux Falls, helped my family decorate the Christmas tree and begin putting up the outdoor lights, saw my grandma and my dad's side of the family, hung out with two of my best friends and their husbands, and enjoyed good ol' Sioux County. Eight and a half more days of work and I will be going there again. Life is good.
The past week and a half have been filled with the usual things. I've also begun the big task of Christmas shopping, but have decided to start shopping early this year instead of waiting until the three day stretch before the holidays. Last Saturday I was hoping to go snowboarding for the first time this season. I bought a 4-pack to Copper Mountain for $80 this year (that's only $20 each time I snowboard, a splendid deal), but we didn't end up going because it was 1 degree there and not sunny at all. Basically, it would have been really miserable. So, instead of going back to bed two of my friends and I decided to go out for an early breakfast only to find that the place we were hoping to eat closed down much to our dismay (they served really good food!). We decided to make the most of our disastrous morning and went to Tiffany's to make breakfast but her roommate, who is a chef had homemade doughnuts ready to go in the oven. They were delicious! We had breakfast, watched a movie, brought my snowboard back to get a refund on the rental, went shopping at the mall, and went to the grocery store to buy ingredients for lunch...and all of this before 1:00! Well, that was my adventure of the weekend because the rest of weekend I rested and watched four other movies. I love movies!
Okay, I better get back to work because some 4th grade s are sitting and commenting about how fast I can type. They are supposed to be reading for library class which I'm not in charge of but sure am distracting them from! Fifteen minutes before my next class.
Laters,
Jules
